ARTIFACTS OF ETERNITY: REBUILDING OBLIVION
This article deals with the "Artifacts of Eternity," a series of 26 mystic paintings created in Guanajuato, Mexico in the Spring of 2017. The series grew out of the artist's own extended philosophical struggles with the concept of Death and Eternity and were given a physical context through some intensive ethnographic explorations of selected Christian cathedrals located in Guanajuato.

GUANAJUATO STUDIO RESIDENCY
This article discusses the artist's move in the Spring of 2017, to Guanajuato City, Mexico as a creative research Residency. It discusses the objectives of the Residency as a focus on the solution of major aesthetic issues within the artist's personal visual style and learning to develop a stronger metaphysical impact. Through ethnographic study inside the cathedrals of Guanajuato, the artist studies the themes of eternity and mortality for his own work.

DON BERGLAND: THE ARTIST
This is a written artist statement by the artist, outlining his practise as an alchemical adventure into the mysteries of his own philosophy. Mental inquiry is a the heart of each image, which is to be studied, pondered, and deciphered by the viewer. The artist constructs his work as theatrical sets, filled with metaphor and symbolism, waiting for the viewer to thread together the connections appearing on stage.
