Note - This page shows the concept of ronroco tunings and discusses and demonstrates them. For actual tuners for tuning your instrument, go to TUNERS in the left menu. |

There are a number of tunings for the ronroco:
- Argentine Tuning - Most Common - a fourth lower than the charango
- Bolivian Tuning - A fifth lower than the charango
- Bolivian, Chilean - An octave lower than the charango |

These look and sound like the following: |

It seems as if there is a lot of exploration that can occur here in terms of tonality of the instrument. There must be a great deal of difference in the tone of an instrument tuned Argentinian, compared with Bolivian. |

I am discovering some players on YouTube whose ronrocos seem to be tuned lower than the Argentinian tuning. I'll see if I can gather links to their performances.
- Mauricio Garay - Imantata - This ronroco sounds like it is tuned lower than Argentinian. Look at the way he holds it. |
