6 – EXTENSION – THE SPACE RACE
This section of the Teacher Workshop relates how the
criterion of "Extension" can be shown in the
Liftoff product. It describes a lesson dealing with
the concept of "The Space Race." It focuses
on some of the descriptive materials inside the Liftoff
product and then demonstrates the wide variety of "extension"
strategies shown through Internet access and related
community websites.
This section then provides a demonstration of the lesson
showing the aspects of Extension featured in Liftoff.
