This
section will show teachers how effective digital learning
products will include a system for effective classroom
setup and administration of computers, students, and
software.
Digital content brings with it a host of classroom management
issues which must be resolved before the resource can
be easily used. One of the most commonly used reasons
for not using digital resources relates to problems
associated with balancing the number of computers with
the number of students in the classroom. The usual problem
is that there are not enough computers to administrate
the activity well. Every digital resource which enters
the classroom environment will demand a solution for
the accompanying administrative problems.
Products should provide an effective strategy for accommodating
the issues introduced by their resource by offering
directed management structures for the lessons and activities.
These strategies should allow for a specific and detailed
approach to setting up classroom configurations related
to:
- Number of Students
- Number of Computers
- Number of Software Programs (or CDs)
- Amount of Time to Spend on the activity
