LEARNING - NETWORKED IMAGE

THE NETWORKED IMAGE

Don Bergland produced this instructional resource as a means of bringing Internet activity to the world of art teachers. The resource was presented as an online program of study which examined the use of the Internet and its role in promoting an expanded art experience for educators and their students. It introduced the Internet dimensions of the art experience including an overview of art collections, galleries & museums, associations & organizations, art & artist information, art magazines & journals, website design & art, art events, art teaching, art education research, and information relating to the design of art programs using the Internet. It presented information about art, large online galleries, art collection databases as well as investigations of actual website visual design. All program information was placed in the context of educational experience and practical teaching activity. This program taught about Internet art experience through the Internet itself. Participants in the program used a Resource Kit consisting of Manual and CD-ROM to access daily Internet explorations.

THE NETWORKED IMAGE PROJECT
