LEARNING - DPC

DIGITAL PRODUCTIVITY

This large-scale learning project was created by Don Bergland and has been supported by Boldeye Solutions and Merit Learning Inc. The project consists of learning manual, CD-ROMs, and website resources. The DPC program provides complete skill in expressing and communicating ideas through digital media. DPC seeks to solve current issues regarding the lack of effective teacher training in the area of digital technology. It is a program that is both a teacher-training resource as well as a full classroom curriculum for students. Teachers can work through it by themselves or together with their students. DPC provides complete skill and concept training in graphics, animation, video, audiom web development, and authored presentations using industry-standard software packages such as Photoshop, Flash, PowerPoint, and Dreamweaver. It can be used flexibly across the curriculum. The DPC program is currently still in prototype development and has been actively presented in conference situations seeking feedback and expressions of interest.
