| This
project is a learning resource written by Don Bergland which
follows the main theme of his professional direction. The intention
of the resource is to empower teachers in the ability to express
and communicate ideas through digital media. The resource includes
an instructional manual and 2 resource CD-ROMs. The instructional
manual consists of 539 pages covering 12 sessions of learning
in digital expression. Focusing on technical skills in graphics,
3D, animation, audio, video, website construction, and authoring,
the program presents information in a highly-detailed manner.
The mediaform concepts feature industry-standard software packages
such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, Macromedia Flash, Macromedia
Dreamweaver, Macromedia SoundEdit 16, and Specular Infini-D.
The resource is currently being used in a course at the University
of Victoria (AE 322), and is also being field-tested by graduate
students for distance potential. The content is currently being
re-designed for Lesley University’s national multimedia
program and will be featured in programs offered in Washington
in 2004 and in Idaho in 2005. |
