LEARNING - APASE

APASE

Don designed the educational approach, curriculum pages, and the Kids Corner feature for this science education website project. It was commissioned by the Association for the Promotion and Advancement of Science Education (APASE). The educational approach was developed as a Model for Science Education Website Design and outlined the design and creation of an innovative cognitive model for science website education. This model was based on recent computer-based education (CBE) research, contemporary pedagogical theory, and educational alignment with science curriculum guidelines. Don produced a research analysis document which detailed the project dimensions in a series of steps: context, investigation, vision, project proposal, timeline and costs. In the actual website itself, Don took leadership in creating the instructional science lessons, lesson theory, and a series of energy-based activities for the Kids Corner section of the site.
