| Sperry
Comedy Network was an innovative attempt to launch an online
comedy performance event utilizing the media formats developed
in Redmond Radio Revival, and the Savoy series of productions.
The website featured a variety of satirical concepts. Culture
Canada was a complete sub-site which presented a very unusual
and satirical view of Canadian history. Polynozzle was an online
magazine concept which attempted to outperform the popular Onion
humor magazine. SCN also introduced a variety of concepts featuring
animation, slide shows, and audio art pieces. The website used
a basic site approached but also began exploring Shockwave as
a vehicle for transmitting expressive concepts. When the Sperry
Comedy Network was launched on www.sperrynetwork.com, it received
six website awards for innovation within its first month of
operation. |
