| Another
animation format explored by Don Bergland is that of poetic
work set to sound and voicetrack in an animated image sequence.
This particular production called Medusa, is the first
stage in this particular process. A poem written by Don was
selected as the basis of the production. This was recorded.
An original soundtrack was written as a foundation for the voicetrack.
Draft images were quickly developed and placed in the production.
These images will be examined and then later replaced with more
powerful correspondences with the poem. This particular draft/prototype/placeholder
concept is one Don used regularly and one which he teaches in
his production classes at the University of Victoria. |
